The next chapter of my life will take place back in Chicago, Illinois!
What a weekend! I flew home and spent three days without even leaving the confines of 912 Lake Street. I fell in love with my nephew, Will, and had a great time catching up with family and friends. He liked me! Some said I even had maternal instincts….not sure I’d go that far, but I didn’t drop him and he seemed pretty calm in my arms. Then I flew to Washington, D.C. for a final round interview.
Received the job offer yesterday, about 99% sure I’ll accept! Having a Fulbright Scholarship is the best; the only bad thing is it has a very fixed end date, so I’m really excited for this new opportunity and it’s a relief to have something nailed down. That being said, it would be hard for me to just pick up my things and leave Colombia as of today, and I think it will be even harder three months from now. I feel a mixture of excitement and sadness. Trying not to think about it just yet.

Me alegro de los buenos cambios y de que estes contenta! Y te entiendo con el problema de dejar un lugar... yo volvi hace 2 dias de mi viaje de 3 meses en USA, y no tenia ni un poco de ganas de volver :S

Es la primera vez que voy a escribir en tu blog y creo que es un buen momento para dedicarte unas palabras.
No estés triste porque todo final es el comienzo de otra etapa. Además si durara tu experiencia en Colombia más tiempo, pues no lo disfrutarías igual a como la estás disfrutando ahora y a como la vas a disfrutar los próximos meses.
